The Kati village has a population of 1600 inhabitants and has only 3 hydraulic pumps (borehole). Some women are often forced to fetch
water from the river located 2 km from the village.

The water quality of this river is not good, so the villagers are exposed to waterborne diseases such as cholerae, dysentery, guinea worm, bilharzia etc.

Thus by offering a hydraulic pump to this village, this will help to avoid these diseases and also allow a good cohabitation of the factory and the Kati village.
